Extreme Networks Business Development Manager

Preference for job location, Greater Cleveland area (Jenne HQ). Remote locations possible depending on candidate qualifications and access to major airport.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Communicate and deliver the vendor’s value proposition to Jenne’s existing and new reseller base, inside & outside sales teams. This person will be responsible for introducing Extreme Networks to existing accounts and prospective customers; maintaining high level of professional sales competence; provide territory intelligence and serve as a key resource for sales and management team; and develop and maintain relationships with Extreme Networks field teams.

QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business/marketing/sales, 4+years of relevant sales/or business development
  • Extensive knowledge of Extreme Networks programs, products and services
  • Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Minimum of 2 plus years of sales or business development experience
  • Must be a highly motivated and possess a personal commitment to the success of the sales organization and goals
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communications skills, including but not limited to, the ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone.
  • Knowledge of territory, operations, reseller strategic direction, and basic P&L concepts.
  • Must be skilled in conducting face-to-face presentations to customers, negotiating, closing sales, and account management
  • Strong presentation skills

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:
Drive sales execution for the Extreme Networks product line
  • Identify, develop and establish relationships with new resellers
  • Drive business development activity and be responsible for achieving quarterly and annual goals
  • Travel to trade shows and resellers to drive recruitment and enablement
  • Recruit, onboard, train, mentor and motivate new resellers on Extreme Networks product offerings
  • Convert existing resellers from marketing competitive brands to Extreme Networks products
  • Drive the launch of new Extreme Networks products
  • Understand Extreme Networks’ key initiatives, products and vertical markets served
  • Work with Jenne and Extreme Networks sales teams to expand reseller base and close opportunities
  • Develop plan by region and customer segment to achieve revenue & goals

Point of contact for Jenne resellers on Extreme Networks programs
  • Provide expert knowledge on all Extreme Networks programs & services for resellers & Jenne sales team
  • Utilize Extreme Networks programs and incentives to leverage sales
  • Utilize applicable vertical focused programs to drive sales in different customer segments – Public sector, education, healthcare, enterprise, SMB

Provide product expertise for sales and resellers
  • Understand product road maps & communicate key elements to resellers
  • Understand go-to-market strategies, category trending and competitive information
  • Product expert on complete Extreme Networks portfolio
  • Utilize and provide tools, guides and collateral for resellers and Jenne sales teams

Develop relationships with sales and resellers
  • Develop a high growth reseller list through profiling and field engagement efforts
  • Qualify, drive and track closure of pipeline opportunities with resellers
  • Establish relationships and regular communication with Extreme Networks teams
  • Develop engagement plan between Extreme Networks and Jenne teams

Return on Investment (ROI) Measurements
  • Increase Extreme Networks revenue
  • Increase number of resellers purchasing Extreme Networks product from Jenne
  • Minimum of 9 appointments per week and/or 50 outbound calls

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Up to 20% travel is required for this position, overnight travel and stays may be expected.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

  • Ability to travel up to 50 percent of the time.
